Sept. 13 — To the Editor:
Hampton’s Historical Society held a 50/50 raffle over the weekend and my state representative Dr. Tom Sherman won; he won $600 in cash. Immediately Tom turned the money over to the Historical Society. The right thing to do; a civic-minded action….the active and ethical behavior I have come to count on from my elected state representative over his two-term tenure in Concord.
Now Tom is running for N.H. State Senate. He will have a competitive race regardless of who wins (Tuesday’s) primary, but I will work hard for Dr. Sherman to become my state senator because he has a strong and steady track record as an honest, thoughtful and active public servant. Tom evaluates complex issues such as Medicaid expansion and the current data on cancer clusters in our state, and then he consistently demonstrates leadership to get things done that benefit our communities. Tom Sherman will make a significant difference as a state senator, advancing public policies that protect and serve New Hampshire’s families, children, and workers throughout the Granite State.
