Sherman offers practical solutions to problems
Like all of you, I receive numerous flyers in the mailbox each day from our candidates. Our family members are registered both Independent and Democrat so we receive flyers from all sides. While I now expect negative ads from candidates in the national races I am always heartened to see our local candidates identifying and offering solutions. We have been fortunate to have Dr. Tom Sherman as our state representative for the last four years and he has made our health, environment and education a priority. Not only does he come to listen during election time, but actively solicits input and suggestions throughout the year. We have received numerous invitations to see Tom across the state senate district since early last summer. In contrast Dan Innis has sent out only negative literature, condemning Tom’s record. I have yet to see from Mr. Innis any understanding or solutions on the tough issues we all face in this region. Nor has anyone reached out to us from the Innis campaign to encourage us to meet him and listen to his positions and solutions in person. Tom Sherman places a priority on communication and problem solving. It’s telling that Dan Innis only uses negative forms of communication rather than providing the solutions that face our state. As a new resident of the district maybe he does not yet realize the extent of Dr. Sherman’s knowledge, expertise, and experience.
