To the Editor:
The news seems geared to stoking our anxieties. Good news rarely makes a ripple. That is why I want to thank Dr. Tom Sherman, my state Rep, for a fantastic public forum he organized and facilitated first in New Castle and again last week in Rye.
I am so proud to have a state representative who is at once a true public servant and a health care expert. Dr. Sherman works tirelessly in Concord and locally to improve healthcare for New Hampshire’s citizens. The public education forums he provided here on the Seacoast reflected plenty of good news. Thanks to Medicaid expansion in our state and the advent of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), thousands of uninsured folks are now insured and accessing routine as well as preventive care. Some costs are beginning to come down as we move from the fee for service model and new insurance options are coming to the Granite State.
Yeah for New Hampshire and yeah for my state Rep, Dr. Tom Sherman! His leadership, expertise and hard work are making a difference. Dr. Sherman, your public service is good news. Thank you!
